Lucas was appointed to a number of different roles focused on philanthropy, diversity and inclusion, and corporate social responsibility with the Orlando Magic from 2008-2016. He served as Director of Business Development, Community Relations, Multicultural Insights, Cause Marketing, and Government Affairs.
From 2005 – 2008 Lucas served at the White House in a number of roles. Lucas lead public relations initiatives and education outreach among diverse communities, constituencies and issues on behalf of the President. During his tenure at the White House, Lucas also served in the Office of Public Liaison.
In this role, he served as the President’s principal liaison to the African American community in addition to leading outreach to the professional sports industry and collegiate sports. His service also provided an opportunity to work in the fields of healthcare and economic policy.
Currently, Lucas serves as the Assistant to the County Administrator for Orange County Florida Government.
